Sherpa Throw

Sherpa is a handsome 2-3 year old, 80lb Labrador Retriever mix with a heart of gold. He was found in rough condition but has since made a full recovery thanks to dedicated medical care and is now ready to find his forever home! Sherpa is an intelligent and diligent boy with an independent spirit, much like a seasoned working dog. He’s friendly with people and gets along with other large dogs, though he often prefers to explore his surroundings or focus on a task. He’s a sweet soul who aims to please, but he’s still maturing and learning appropriate social skills.

Sherpa would thrive in a home that can appreciate his independent nature and provide him with engaging activities. He gets along well with similar-sized dogs.

Sherpa has made a full recovery from heartworm treatment.

Training & Support

To help Sherpa continue to grow and develop, his new family will have access to 8 FREE private training sessions with Instinct Dog Behavior and Training. These sessions will focus on scent work and communication skills, ensuring a smooth transition and a happy life together.

Transportation

Sherpa is looking for foster placement in NYC or surrounding areas. He is available for adoption locally or out-of-state, as long as the adopter can travel to meet him.
