Mac

Mac is a handsome 4-year-old, 85 lb, neutered male Lab/Golden mix. He's a loving and cuddly boy who thrives on being around his family and is a good listener. Mac knows many commands, including "sit," "stay," "come," "fetch," "drop it," "leave it," "wait," "off," and "no begging." He enjoys playing fetch, swimming, and car rides. Mac is house-trained and crate-trained, sleeping in his crate at night, and can be left alone without issue. He does great with cats and is good with young children.

Ideal Home

Mac would do best in a home without other dogs, as he has shown resource guarding with his current canine housemate, leading to scuffles. He is a strong dog, so he's not suited for anyone unsteady on their feet. He would be fine with older children and cats.

Ongoing Health

Mac appears to be in good health. He is due for a vet visit and vaccinations, and a heartworm test and microchipping are pending.

Training & Support

Mac can sometimes counter-surf and may jump on people when he first meets them. He also pulls a bit on leash during walks. With a bit of consistent reinforcement, these behaviors can be managed.
