What we know: Litter of 10 puppies transferred from Levelland Animal Friends in Texas. Prior to rescue, the puppies were living in extreme heat in a very small outdoor enclosure while battling fleas and flies. They arrived in Colorado at 8 weeks of age, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and had not yet been spayed or neutered

Journey is the kind of puppy who steals your heart before you even realize it's happening.
This beautiful 8-week-old German Shorthaired Pointer mix has an almost completely chocolate-brown face, the most stunning green eyes, and those perfectly floppy GSP ears that seem to have a personality all their own.
From the day she arrived, Journey decided that her favorite place to be is right by her person. She's my little shadow, and I have to walk extra carefully around the house because she's almost always under my feet. If I'm moving, she's moving too. She simply loves being close to the people she trusts.
When she's not following me around, you'll usually find her outside, happily rolling around in the grass, wrestling with her siblings, or proudly carrying a toy that's almost as big as she is. She has a wonderful mix of playful energy and affectionate sweetness.
Journey is already sleeping through the night and is doing a great job learning potty training. She's also incredibly smart-when we introduced her to stairs, she figured them out in about 30 seconds and never looked back. She approaches new things with curiosity and confidence, making her a joy to watch as she learns.
If I could keep one of these puppies, Journey would be the one. She has a way of making herself part of your everyday life, and it's impossible not to fall in love with her gentle spirit.
We named her Journey because it just seemed to fit. She's the kind of loyal companion who will happily be along for every adventure, every road trip, every hike, every lazy Sunday afternoon, and every chapter life has in store. We can't wait to see the family whose journey becomes even better because she's a part of it.
