Rizzy

Rizzy is a young boy, close to 1 year old, and we believe he is a Lab and Hound mix. He's an extremely shy boy who has been making lots of progress in his foster home, and has really started opening up since spending some time at our Rescue Ranch. He's a loving, sweet boy looking for a special family to continue his training and socialization. Rizzy bonds closely with his people and really loves attention. He's a very sweet boy that just needs a committed and experienced adopter that has the patience and time to continue his training and desensitization.

Ideal Home

Rizzy is looking for an experienced forever home that is familiar with shy and anxious dogs and understands it may take several days, weeks, or even longer for him to feel comfortable in a new environment. He will do best in a home with his own backyard as he is still learning walks aren't as scary as he thinks. He is good with respectful older kids, but little kids are too unpredictable and scary for Rizzy at this time. Rizzy is playful with other dogs and will need a calm, confident, and easygoing dog companion in his forever home to show him the way.

Ongoing Health

Your adoption donation includes care such as spay and neuter, microchip, veterinarian visit(s), vaccinations, and other medical care as needed. We are unable to predict future medical needs of your adopted dog and provide no guarantees regarding medical conditions.

Training & Support

Rizzy is housetrained with a yard in his current foster home, loves to play with toys, and sleeps in his crate at night. He needs a committed and experienced adopter that has the patience and time to continue his training and desensitization. We provide no guarantees regarding behavior of your adopted dog.
