Jake- FOSTER ME!

Meet Jake! Jake is a handsome 1-year-old, approximately 40 lb boy, who we believe might be a Malinois/German Shepherd mix. He's a happy, eager-to-please pup with a sweet disposition, though he can be a bit on the nervous side. His intelligence and food motivation mean he's already learning commands in his foster home, and he could truly shine in canine sports like agility or obedience. Jake absolutely adores other dogs and would thrive with a playful, similarly-sized or larger canine companion to share his energy with. While he's met children, they tend to make him nervous, so he'd be happiest in a home with kids aged 11 and up, if any.

Ideal Home

Jake needs an experienced owner who understands the needs of shepherd-type breeds and is committed to ongoing training. A securely fenced yard is a must for him to safely run and play. He would do best in a home with another young, playful dog of similar size or larger. He would prefer a home without young children, and would do best with children 11 years and older, if any.

Ongoing Health

Jake is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped.

Training & Support

Jake is house trained and crate trained. As a working breed, he will require continued training and plenty of mental and physical exercise to thrive.
