Meet Arthur!
Arthur is a charming 5-year-old, 78-pound neutered Staffordshire Terrier/Retriever mix with a zest for life and a heart full of love. He's a wonderful mix of an energetic adventure buddy and a snuggly companion, currently thriving in a foster home in Houston, Texas. Arthur was found as a stray and thankfully, our rescue stepped in to give him a brighter future. He approaches each day with enthusiasm, enjoying playtime, exploring new sights and smells, and cherishing time spent with his favorite people. Arthur is a social butterfly, having successfully interacted with dogs of various sizes, including a Black Lab, a Mini Aussie, and a Chihuahua. He's a pro at reading canine social cues and knows when a playmate needs a break. He's also curious and friendly around cats and pot-bellied pigs, though introductions and supervision are always recommended. Arthur has had positive experiences with children, but due to his size and enthusiasm, gentle play and supervision are advised to ensure no little ones get accidentally knocked over.
Ideal Home
Arthur would thrive in a home that can provide regular exercise, a consistent routine, and plenty of opportunities to be a cherished member of the family. While he doesn't need a canine sibling, he would be happiest with people who love to include their dog in all their everyday adventures.
Ongoing Health
Arthur is up-to-date on all vaccinations and has been neutered. He is a healthy boy!
Training & Support
Arthur is a house-trained and crate-trained superstar! He settles well in his crate, even for extended periods. He's also a champion car rider and absolutely adores car rides – just say the words and you'll have his full attention! While he might pull a little on the leash at first, he quickly settles into a good walking rhythm.
