Darren Dixon

Hi everyone! My name is Darren, but my foster mom calls me Dixon. I'm a Lab Retriever Mix, about 55lbs, and my estimated birthday is November 25, 2024. I had a bit of a rough start, but thanks to the wonderful people at Sunnyside Street Dogs and Pooch Manor, I'm getting a second chance at a happy life, and I'm working hard every day to show them they made the right decision! When I first arrived at my foster home, I was a little shy, but with patience and space, I've truly blossomed. I adore my foster dog siblings, especially the younger one who is my favorite playmate. The kids in the house are my absolute favorite, and I love them right back! I'm even trying to make friends with the cat, though she's still on the fence.

I'm a smart cookie! I know "sit" and "shake," and I have a special trick called "pray" that melts hearts. I love to gently nudge my foster mom's arm for attention – her head scratches and sweet words are the best! My skin is still healing, and I get weekly medicated baths, but my foster mom says I look like a "little werewolf," which I think is funny, especially since she gives the best massages! My kennel is my safe space, and I love going in for treats and praise. Most of all, I'm dreaming of a forever family to cherish. A home with another playful dog to romp with would be the cherry on top! I've already overcome so much; now I just need my happy ending. Could it be with you?
