About Robin
Robin is a trim and lanky 1.5-year-old, 37 lb male Aussie Cattle Dog mix who is just wants to be someone's best friend and sidekick! This guy had a family who decided they didn't want him anymore, so they abandoned him and left the poor guy to fend for himself. Luckily, his good looks and sweet disposition helped him find a foster willing to take him in and help him settle. Robin repaid their kindness by showering them with love and kisses. He does very well with the resident dogs and a new foster puppy, and also adores children. He may do better with a little older kids (over 8) as he still gets excited and wants to plant a sloppy kiss on their faces, but with a little obedience training, this smart boy will quickly pick up what "four (paws) on the floor" means. Robin is crate and potty trained, and is quickly picking up on leash training. He may pull a bit as he is eager to make new friends; this handsome pup really just wants to be someone's buddy. Since he was abandoned, he may need a bit of extra time/reassurance to really feel settled and at home, but he is very worth it. He would probably do best in a more active home, so he can burn off some of that young dog energy with some runs or hikes, or doggy playdates. Robin's idea of a fun time is likely to be going for a brisk walk, making some new friends, and then heading home for a nice nap, nestled close to you, his new bestie.
