Honey

Honey Comb is a wonderfully affectionate and silly 6-year-old terrier mix who weighs 68 lbs. She's a full-grown sweetheart who is the perfect blend of playful energy and cuddle-bug vibes. Honey Comb loves to be by your side, whether you're watching TV, reading, or just relaxing. She'll nuzzle into your neck, rest her head on your lap, or gently place a paw on your arm as she drifts off to sleep. Don't worry about slobbery kisses; she prefers cuddles! While she adores her humans, Honey Comb is also independent and can entertain herself with a chew toy or by watching the world go by from the window, making her an excellent work-from-home companion. When it's time for fun, she's always ready! The phrase "Let's go outside!" will have her doing happy zoomies, and she enjoys neighborhood walks, car rides, and puzzle toys. She greets everyone, young and old, with a big smile, wagging tail, and her signature "stop, drop, and roll" move that signals her desire for belly rubs. Honey Comb has excellent manners, is incredibly smart, and learns routines quickly. She's respectful around food and has an easygoing, gentle nature that makes her a joy to live with.

Ideal Home

Honey Comb would thrive in a home where she can spend plenty of quality time with her people. She needs a home with a fenced-in backyard for playing fetch and sunbathing. She'd much prefer a quieter suburban or rural setting over a busy city, as she loves nature trails and hikes. She is happiest as the only pet, where she can receive all the love and attention. A home with children aged 4 and up is recommended to prevent accidental bumps from her happy tail. A feline-free home is also recommended.

Ongoing Health

Honey Comb is up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations, has been spayed, microchipped, and is current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention. She has a health certificate from a licensed veterinarian.

Training & Support

Honey Comb is kennel trained, potty trained, and leash trained. She communicates her need to potty by tap dancing by the door. She is not destructive and can be trusted when left alone. She is happy to sleep in a kennel or on a dog bed next to your bed, but would love to sleep with her forever family.

Transporation

Honey Comb is currently in a foster home in Austin, TX. She can be adopted and transported to various locations; please visit www.loveandpuppypawsdogrescue.com/transport-locations for more information. Transports occur monthly, and adoptive families are responsible for meeting the transport to pick up their new family member. Please note that dogs are adopted to their forever families prior to transport, and we cannot arrange transports for meet-and-greets.
