Meet Hachi!
Hachi is a sweet and resilient 2-year-old pup, weighing around 50 lbs, who is still working on gaining a bit more weight to reach his ideal of 60 lbs. Despite a difficult past spent in an outdoor kennel, Hachi's spirit remains incredibly soft and loving. He's a total love bug who greets everyone with a wagging tail and a gentle nature. Hachi is wonderful with children and loves making new friends, proving himself to be a true people person. He cherishes the simple joys of life, like belly rubs and a cozy bed, things he never experienced before his rescue. He's crate trained and potty trained, and after his past, he's ready for a home where he's cherished and included.
Ideal Home
Hachi is looking for a loving home where he can experience the life he deserves. He enjoys adventures and car rides, and has a medium energy level, happy to play and then relax by your side.
Ongoing Health
Hachi is still gaining weight after being underfed for years. His ideal weight is closer to 60 lbs, so he'll need a patient owner who can help him reach his healthy goal with good nutrition and treats!
Training & Support
Hachi does best with slow introductions to other dogs. Once he trusts a fellow canine, he's all in! He tends to do better with confident dogs, and can sometimes act like a "big tough guy" with more timid ones, so it's important to manage his interactions to help him learn to be a good doggy friend.
