Sussie Q is a 5-year-old, 16 lb female Pug mix with a winning smile and a ray of sunshine personality. She's a huge cuddlebug who loves to be wherever her humans are, whether it's at a cafe in her stroller or lounging by a warm heater. Sussie Q was rescued from a hoarding situation and, despite her past, has a sweet spirit. She is pee pad trained and enjoys short walks in her stroller due to mobility issues in her hind legs and a congenital angular front limb deformity. She is not crate trained. Sussie Q can be a bit vocal when left alone, but another calm, friendly dog can help ease her separation anxiety. She is good with children and loves to play with toys and other dogs, but would prefer a home without cats.
Ideal Home
Sussie Q would love an amazing home where she can be spoiled rotten! She'll need a comfortable stroller, soft blankets, and opportunities to relax and soak up the sun. A quiet cafe would be a great place for her to hang out with her people. She absolutely needs a dog sibling to help with her separation anxiety, or a home where someone is around frequently for companionship.
Ongoing Health
Sussie Q has a congenital angular front limb deformity and a chronic orthopedic condition affecting her hind legs. She is currently managed with Dasuquin. While no surgery is immediately necessary, future surgery may be required, and the financial responsibility for this would fall to the adopter.
Training & Support
Sussie Q is pee pad trained. She is not crate trained. She can experience separation anxiety and tends to vocalize when left alone. The presence of another friendly dog is highly recommended to help manage this. She also needs gentle handling and consideration for her mobility limitations during walks.
