Hi, I'm Charcoal! I'm an affectionate and saucy little Cocker Spaniel mix who was sadly dumped and am still adjusting. Meeting new people can be a bit scary for me at first, but once I know I'm safe, I warm up quickly. The retreat team has been helping me work through some reactivity issues. If you're looking for a companion who will guard your home with their life, I'm your guy! I do tend to bark when I see other dogs walking by, but I actually enjoy their company during playgroups and in a home environment. I've lived with another small dog before and we were best pals. I promise to be your best friend if you give me a chance to get more comfortable and help me learn the ropes of home life.

Ideal Home

A home where I can feel safe and secure will help me build confidence. I do bark at dogs when I see them walking by, but I enjoy their company in playgroups and inside. I have lived with another small dog and we were best pals.

Ongoing Health

I am neutered and vaccinated.

Training & Support

I am working on my reactivity issues. I can be a bit scared of new people, but I warm up once I know I am safe. I will need patience as I learn the ropes of home life.
