Meet Otis! This handsome 2-year-old, 50-pound American Staffordshire Terrier mix is neutered, fully vaccinated, and ready for his happily-ever-after. Otis was adopted as a puppy and sadly returned to an overcrowded shelter. He was suffering from a severe skin condition, but thanks to his foster, he's now thriving with a shiny new coat he's extremely proud of and excited to show off! Otis is the definition of resilient and joyful. He's sweet, goofy, and loves people with his whole heart. If you stop petting him before he's ready, expect a gentle paw to grab your hand as a polite reminder to keep going! He is very attentive to positive reinforcement and genuinely wants to make his people happy.
Ideal Home
Otis would do best in a moderately active home that also appreciates a good snuggle session. While he hasn't been around cats, he's great with dogs of all sizes and would love a doggy sibling. Due to his size and enthusiasm, he would likely do best with dog-savvy older children.
Ongoing Health
Otis has made a full recovery from a severe skin condition and is now thriving.
Training & Support
Otis is fully housebroken, potty trained, and crate trained. He sleeps in his crate overnight and settles well, especially with a treat. He has shown no signs of separation anxiety, destruction, food aggression, or resource guarding. He is fed separately to keep things calm and easy. He walks well on leash with a little excited pulling at the start.
