Meet Rufus, a 2-year-old, 22-pound Cockapoo/Shih Tzu mix who is as smart and sweet as he is handsome! This fluffy bundle of joy was found as a stray, a little lost but still wagging his tail. Now cleaned up and safe, Rufus is eager to show off his true colors: joyful, clever, and incredibly affectionate. He’s the perfect size for cuddles and absolutely adores belly rubs. Rufus walks well on a leash, knows "sit," and is a quick learner who genuinely wants to please. He's crate trained and house trained with a consistent schedule and responds well when called.
Ideal Home
Rufus thrives on playtime and companionship. He absolutely loves other dogs and would be overjoyed to have a canine sibling to romp with. However, he would also be happy as an only dog with an active family. Due to his boundless enthusiasm for life, Rufus is best suited for a home without children under the age of 10.
Ongoing Health
Rufus is fully vetted and ready for his forever home! He has been neutered, microchipped, is heartworm negative, and is up-to-date on all vaccinations.
Training & Support
Rufus is house-trained and crate-trained when kept on a schedule. He is eager to learn and aims to be a good boy. While not naughty, he is exuberant, so patience and positive reinforcement will help him continue to settle in and polish his manners.

Transportation
Rufus is an "out of town pet" and is currently located in the Houston area. We arrange transport for approved adopters. Dogs are transported via climate-controlled vans by a professional transport service. You will be included in a group chat to track Rufus's journey and will be provided with an estimated arrival time and location. Please note that travel times may be affected by traffic or weather.
