Mocha

Hello! I'm Mocha, an adorable brindle puppy with a darling white-tipped tail. My foster mom says I'm quite the looker! I absolutely adore being with my people and have bonded wonderfully with the other foster dog in the house. My favorite activity is shadowing my foster mom, whether it's following her around or snuggling up while she works from home.

I'm making excellent progress with potty training, and my canine housemate has been a fantastic teacher! While I still need frequent potty breaks due to my size, I haven't had any accidents indoors lately, and my foster mom is so proud of how quickly I'm learning. Soon, I'll be able to let you know when I need to go out!

Because I love being close to my people, learning to see my kennel as a safe space is a work in progress. I'm getting better at settling in each day, and I mostly sleep in my kennel at night. Sometimes, after my early morning potty break, I get to snuggle with my foster mom for a couple of hours or even for naps – which is pure bliss!

I already know how to sit and play fetch, and I'm learning to "leave it" and walk nicely on a leash. With so many exciting smells, I don't always walk in a straight line yet! As a young pup, I would greatly benefit from obedience training. My foster mom believes I'm a smart cookie and pick things up quickly by watching my older foster sister. I'm eager to learn more and bond with my new forever family through training. I thrive on praise and will happily perform tricks for treats!

I haven't met any children yet, but I'm sure I'd love them! As a puppy, I'm still a bit mouthy, and my tiny teeth are quite sharp. I live with a wonderful 2-year-old female foster dog who I look up to immensely. I love playing with her and snuggling up afterwards. I'm a tenacious and playful pup, and I'm learning about boundaries by being submissive with my foster sister if our play gets too rough. I enjoy chasing blowing leaves in the yard, playing with my foster sister, and playing fetch with my favorite penguin ball. I'm great at bringing the ball back and checking in with my foster mom as I explore the yard!

Ideal Home I would love to live with an active family that will channel my boundless energy with activities like playing fetch and going for walks. My interests will continue to grow as I do! I love having people around, and since I'm still learning to be crate trained, a family that is home to take me out regularly would be ideal.
