Dahlia is an 11-month-old, 35-pound "itty bitty labbie pittie" who is as delicate and beautiful as her namesake flower. She's a sweet, snuggly, and fun-loving pup who enjoys adventures and will make a wonderful companion. Dahlia is crate and house-trained and settles nicely in her crate at night after a routine is established. She loves to play fetch with pinecones and carry around big sticks, and is a fantastic copilot on car rides. Dahlia is excellent in public and will be a joy to have as part of your family.
Ideal Home
Dahlia would thrive in a home that can provide her with plenty of exercise, including at least two walks per day. She would be happiest with another playful dog in the home or the opportunity to attend doggy daycare regularly if her people work full-time outside the home. She is a very dog-social girl who lives for the companionship of other canines. While she hasn't been tested with cats or children, we believe she would do well with respectful children aged 8 and up who will play with her. Homes with shared walls should be aware that Dahlia may cry in her crate when initially left alone, though she does settle eventually.
Ongoing Health
Dahlia is up-to-date on all vetting, including DAPP vaccines with booster, Bordetella, Rabies, multiple broad-spectrum deworming treatments, and flea prevention. She has been spayed and received a 12-month heartworm preventative injection. She has also been tested for heartworm.
Training & Support
Dahlia is crate and house-trained. She may cry in her crate when initially left alone, which is something that will need to be re-established in her new home. She is learning to assert boundaries with smaller dogs in her foster home and is expected to do well with respectful children.

Dahlia is currently fostered in Marysville, WA. We facilitate adoptions nationwide using our rescue run USDA certified transport system, ensuring every pet travels safely and comfortably with 24/7 care. Drop-off locations include WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI and Canada. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area. A $87 surcharge applies due to rising transportation costs.
