Meet Layla, a stunning 5-year-old pup with a heart full of love, just waiting for her forever family! Layla is a gentle soul, a likely Shepherd-Pitty mix with beautiful light brown fur and big ears that are just perfect for ear scratches. She can be a little shy at first, taking her time to warm up to new people. But once she trusts you, her tail wags non-stop, her eyes sparkle, and she showers you with quiet, devoted affection. She loves to snuggle up next to her favorite humans and offer silent companionship.
Ideal Home
Layla would thrive in a calm home where she can decompress and feel safe. She needs a canine companion to share her life with, preferably a calm, aloof male dog who can help her feel confident. While she's cat-tolerant and can coexist peacefully if kitties mind their own business, Layla would do best with older children, around 8 years and up, due to her sensitivity to new people and touch. A home where her handlers are willing to move at her pace is essential.
Ongoing Health
Layla is a healthy girl who has been spayed, vaccinated (DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies), and received multiple broad-spectrum deworming treatments, flea prevention, and a 12-month heartworm preventative injection. She has also been tested for heartworm.
Training & Support
Layla may need a little help gaining leash confidence in new environments. Our trainers at Wags have worked with her on leash walking, and she has also participated in socialization playgroups. She is crate-trained and potty-trained.

We facilitate nationwide adoptions using our USDA-certified transport system, with drop-off locations in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, and Canada. Canadian adopters can pick up in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT. You can track your pet's journey in real time. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
