Freya

Freya is a beautiful 8-month-old sable German Shepherd mix who, along with her littermate Magnus, was brought to us from Texas. They were facing euthanasia due to reactivity towards strangers. We knew these two deserved a chance to learn and grow with the right guidance and support. Freya and Magnus are looking for a home together or separately. If they go together, it will be to a home with prior German Shepherd experience and a commitment to working with a professional trainer. If placed in separate homes, each will need another social dog in their new environment. Since arriving, Freya has made wonderful progress, learning many new skills with both people and other dogs. She is familiar with basic cues and behaviors and continues to learn more every day! Freya currently weighs over 70lbs and has more growing to do.

Ideal Home

Freya would do best in a home with German Shepherd experience. If she is adopted separately, she will need to be in a home with another social dog.

Ongoing Health

Freya will be spayed prior to adoption.

Training & Support

Freya is learning basic cues and behaviors and is eager to continue her training journey. She has shown reactivity towards strangers in the past, and her new family should be prepared to continue working with her in this area. We are offering free training classes or private training in Orford, NH, as part of her adoption.
