Mimi

Mimi is a 5-year-old, 38 lb female American Staffordshire Terrier mix with a spirit as strong as her breed! She was sadly left behind in Matamoros, Mexico, but thankfully, she was rescued and given a second chance. When she was found, she was underweight and covered in ticks and fleas, yet her sweet nature and love for people never wavered. Today, Mimi is a happy, playful, and affectionate girl who thrives on human companionship. She's social with other dogs and can live with cats with proper introductions. Mimi is active, funny, and full of love, with a gentle, good-natured temperament. She's respectful, eager to please, and truly appreciates every kindness shown to her. Mimi is ready to leave her past behind and find a family who will cherish her forever.

Ideal Home

• A home with a fenced backyard.
• An active family that enjoys outdoor activities.
• A family with a genuine intention to rescue and understand the needs of a street animal.
• Experience in dog behavior and training, or a willingness to hire a trainer.
• High tolerance and patience for rescued dogs.

Training & Support

Mimi is not house-trained. It's important to understand that rescued pets may need an adjustment period, and patience and understanding are crucial for building trust and a strong bond.

Transportation

Mimi is currently being fostered in Matamoros, Mexico. She is available for transport to the East Coast on our cross-country trips. A transport fee of $400 USD applies.
