About Coraline
Coraline is a sweet, laid-back 6-month-old Doberman or Beauceron mix who currently weighs 45 lbs and is estimated to reach 85-90 lbs when fully grown. She's a delightful blend of curious, silly, cuddly, and endlessly entertaining, with a quirky charm that will keep you smiling. Coraline adores playing peek-a-boo and will greet you with happy zoomies when you join in her games. She's very people-oriented and enjoys being close to her humans, following them around like a shadow without being overly demanding. You'll often find her showing affection with sweet puppy kisses or gently resting a paw on your leg as she drifts off to sleep. Coraline has a calm and balanced temperament, making her a wonderful work-from-home companion. She's perfectly happy entertaining herself quietly with a toy or bone. She's also incredibly social with people and other dogs, greeting new friends calmly before happily continuing her play or exploration. Coraline is the best of both worlds: playful yet laid-back, independent yet loving, and goofy yet intuitive. She's sure to be your little sidekick, shadow, and best friend.
Ideal Home
Coraline would thrive in a home that enjoys a mix of adventure and relaxation, from leisurely walks to cozy evenings on the couch. She loves being included in her family's daily routine and would be happy with short walks and backyard play sessions, but is also up for longer hikes and beach trips. She would benefit from a family that understands she's not the most confident pup in busy public areas, but with more exposure and socialization, she has the potential to be an excellent outdoor adventure buddy. She would absolutely adore a family that includes her in outdoor adventures while also appreciating her calm, affectionate nature at home. She needs a home with a fenced yard to run and play in. No apartments or condos due to her size and potential nervousness in busy areas. She requires another dog in her forever home as she thrives with canine companionship. She could happily live with older children and cats. No public dog parks. Her human should be home more often than not, though a few days a week at doggy daycare would be fine.
Ongoing Health
Coraline is up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations, microchipped, and on flea/tick/heartworm prevention.
Training & Support
Coraline is potty trained and kennel trained. She is still working on mastering leash training and needs additional practice to boost her confidence on walks. She is treat-motivated and will walk beside you with rewards. She alerts when she needs to go outside by pacing at the back door and can use a dog door. She needs to be taken out every 3-4 hours initially to establish a consistent schedule in her new home. Using a doggy doorbell is recommended if a dog door is not available.
