Maya

Maya is a sweet and devoted girl who was surrendered by her owner due to some health concerns. When she arrived, she was found to have a mammary tumor, severe anemia requiring a blood transfusion, and was diagnosed with Tick Fever. Thankfully, the tumor has been surgically removed, and Maya is doing wonderfully!

Her foster mom describes Maya as a total shadow, always happy and eager to be by your side. She's very social with other dogs and shows no aggression, even when meeting a dominant personality. Maya is a polite house guest, coming when called and exhibiting good manners. She's content to sleep in her kennel at night or on her bed outside if she's recovering from a procedure. Maya is also very understanding and cooperative when it comes to her medical care. Her favorite activity? Playing with balls! She gets incredibly excited when a ball escapes during a game of pickleball. Maya is a loving companion just waiting for her forever family.

Ongoing Health

Maya has a medical recommendation for retesting every three months for up to a year to monitor for any reoccurrence of cancer. Local adoption is recommended due to the potential costs associated with future treatment, if needed.

Training & Support

Maya has good house manners and is easily managed. She is cooperative with her medical care.
