Navajo, a 6.5-year-old, 75-pound, neutered male Pitbull mix, is a sweet, affectionate, and easygoing pup looking for his forever home. He’s the perfect blend of playful energy and relaxed companionship, happy to join you for a walk or curl up for a cozy evening. Navajo enjoys playing with other dogs, particularly in small groups, and has made great progress with his doggy manners at daycare. He's polite and non-reactive on leash, though he might pull a little at the start of a walk when excited. Navajo is fully house-trained and crate-trained, and can be left loose in the house without any signs of separation anxiety. He loves meeting new people and has done well around children. However, Navajo would do best in a cat-free home due to a strong prey drive towards felines. He's an affectionate, playful, smart, curious, silly, and independent dog who adores toys and is a champion cuddler. Navajo is also an excellent car rider, a favorite at the vet, has no issues with stairs, and enjoys napping in unique spots. He has shown no resource guarding.
Ideal Home
Navajo would thrive in a stable, moderately active home that enjoys daily walks, occasional outings, and lots of affection. He doesn't need an ultra-active lifestyle, just consistent exercise, love, and companionship. He could do well as an only dog or with a compatible canine friend. He would do best in a cat-free home.
Ongoing Health
Navajo needed dental work upon arrival and had several damaged teeth removed, including his canines. His remaining teeth are healthy, and he still happily chews his favorite bones.
Training & Support
Navajo is house-trained and crate-trained. He's polite on leash, though may pull a bit initially. He generally reads social cues well with other dogs but may need gentle redirection if he gets too excited.
