Bruty

Meet Bruty, a sensitive and soulful 9-year-old brindle and black mixed breed boy who weighs between 20-59 lbs. Bruty takes his time warming up to new people, but once he trusts you, he's incredibly devoted. His signature "teapot tail" wiggle is his way of showing pure joy, and volunteers absolutely adore him for his sweet nature. Bruty has been waiting patiently since 2021 for his special person and his chances at happiness.

Ideal Home

Bruty is looking for a calm, quiet, and low-traffic home with a patient human who understands that trust is earned. He would thrive with someone who enjoys a slower pace of life and is willing to let him come out of his shell on his own terms. An adult-only home is preferred.

Ongoing Health

Bruty is neutered, microchipped, and is in good health. He's quite active for his age and ready to enjoy his golden years.

Training & Support

Bruty benefits from a "dating" approach to building trust, involving multiple meet-and-greets, treats, and ample time. He would also benefit from continued work with a professional trainer to help build his confidence and consistency. When guests visit, Bruty is most comfortable in his kennel or another room, as he prefers to focus on his people. He is not a good fit for homes with cats.
