Meet Ty!
Ty is an incredible 6-year-old Weimaraner/American Foxhound mix with a stellar personality and a heart full of love. He's light on his feet, playful with humans and other dogs, and often sports a smile when he's excited! His DNA shows a mix of Weimaraner, American Foxhound, Siberian Husky, and Chow Chow. Ty has thrived in his foster home with his foster mom and canine siblings, doing best with female pups or male dogs smaller than his 70lb frame. His sweet, buoyant nature makes him a wonderful match for families with active kids, and he'd also be the perfect adventure partner for an active single person or couple. Ty loves to be included in everything, whether it's a hike, a car ride, or just spending time with his people. He's an excellent traveler and happy either in the car seat or resting in his crate.
Ideal Home
Ty would thrive in a home that includes him in family activities. He loves the outdoors, so a securely fenced backyard is a must. An adopter experienced with large dogs is a plus.
Ongoing Health
Ty is vet-checked, microchipped, spayed/neutered, and up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccines.
Training & Support
Ty is crate-trained, house-trained, and doggie-door savvy. He walks well on a leash but can get distracted by interesting scents. Continued leash training will help him stay focused. He already knows how to sit on command and is eager to learn more.

Transporation
Ty is currently in South Mississippi. Local and out-of-town adopters are welcome. Virtual meet-and-greets are available, and transport can be arranged to many states in the Northeast. The adoption fee includes transport to the city listed. Transports run every 2-3 weeks. We cannot adopt to Rhode Island due to import restrictions.
