Mr. Marbles is a deeply loving and devoted dog who was rescued a few months ago. He arrived in a distressed state, confused and uncomfortable in an ill-fitting harness. Initially, he showed fear and mistrust, resulting in a bite when his foster attempted to remove the harness. However, he has since bonded strongly with his foster, recognizing her kindness. He also shows affection towards her adult son. While he has overcome his fear of his foster and her son, he may still nip if not approached calmly and gently. Building trust with Mr. Marbles will be a gradual process, requiring patience and slow, non-threatening interactions. He thrives on positive reinforcement and will eventually become the most loyal companion. He carries the weight of past trauma, and it's important to understand he has PTSD from his previous experiences.
Ideal Home
Mr. Marbles would do best in a quiet home with a fenced-in yard, where there aren't many strangers visiting. He enjoys the company of other dogs and would be happy to have a canine sibling, but it's not a requirement.
Ongoing Health
Mr. Marbles is neutered, vaccinated, and crate-trained.
Training & Support
Mr. Marbles requires a patient adopter who can help him build trust. He may exhibit fear aggression, and it's important to approach him calmly and allow him to come to you on his own terms. He loves to play with toys and carries them around like his puppies.
