About Wryker

Meet Wryker! He's a handsome 80 lb German Shepherd born on January 25, 2022, who is as loyal as he is curious. Wryker is a true velcro dog who loves to be by his people's side, always ready to explore with his keen nose. He's already mastered potty training and the 'sit' command, and is enthusiastically working on 'down,' 'stay,' and 'wait.' He's highly motivated by treats and food, making training a rewarding experience. Wryker gets along with other dogs his size, smaller dogs, and even cat-savvy cats. He's currently learning gentler boundaries with smaller dogs, as his size can sometimes lead to overly enthusiastic play. He's also discovering the joys of enrichment toys, improving his recall, and mastering the art of fetch. When he's not busy learning or playing, Wryker loves to snuggle up with his favorite humans.

Ideal Home

Wryker needs a home with experienced German Shepherd owners who are committed to continuing his training. He has been raised with children ages 6 and up, and would do best in a home without toddlers. Because he thrives on mental and physical stimulation, long periods alone are not ideal for this energetic boy. He requires a homeownership situation (no apartments, please!) and a securely fenced yard with a minimum height of 5 feet.

Ongoing Health

Wryker is neutered and up to date on vaccinations.

Training & Support

Wryker is treat and food motivated, making him a great candidate for continued training. He's working on commands like 'down,' 'stay,' and 'wait,' and is also learning about enrichment toys, recall, and fetch. He's learning to be more gentle with smaller dogs.
