Meet Boq — a 6 lb bundle of determination and love!

Boq is a 9-year-old Maltese mix with a soft coat, a gentle spirit, and a lifetime of stories. He may be small, but this little gentleman has his own unique charm and preferences. He thrives in a quiet, steady, and predictable environment. His absolute favorite part of the day is his walk – he's a tiny hiking buddy who trots beautifully on leash. Boq is sweet, affectionate in his own gentle way, and very food-motivated. He gets along well with other dogs and is mostly housebroken.

Ideal Home

Boq is happiest in a calm environment where he won't be startled. Because he is deaf and has limited vision, he can be reactive if surprised. He is not recommended for a home with small children, and would do best with children over the age of 10. He is not crate trained and does not ride well in a car.

Ongoing Health

Boq is a senior dog with special needs, including deafness and limited vision.

Training & Support

Boq is mostly housebroken and leash trained. His ideal adopter will be experienced with shy or special-needs pups, understanding that progress may be slow but rewarding.
