Bessie

Bessie is a sweet 2-year-old Pit Bull Terrier mix who has overcome a lot in her short life. She arrived underweight and showing signs of having had multiple litters. Fortunately, she found her way to us, where she's been enjoying nutritious meals and is now ready to find her forever home. Bessie is spayed, microchipped, and up-to-date on all vaccinations. During her spay surgery, a small growth was removed from her eye, and she also tested positive for heartworms. Treatment has already begun, and we're hoping she can find a foster parent to complete her recovery in the comfort of a home.

Bessie would likely do best in a calm environment where she can continue her heartworm treatment without added stress.
