Meet Lessie, a gentle and shy girl who's ready for a second chance at happiness. She was found tied to a fence at our shelter in Mexico, but despite her rough start, she's proven to be a sweetheart who enjoys the company of other dogs.
Lessie is gaining confidence with the help of our trainers and is already wonderful on the leash. The hustle and bustle of the shelter can be overwhelming for her, and she's a bit nervous initially. She's looking for a patient and experienced adopter who can help her feel safe and loved.
Ideal Home
Lessie would thrive in a quiet, calm, and predictable environment. She needs a home with teens or adults only and would love a big yard, a ranch, or an active family that enjoys hiking. Having another friendly dog in the home would be a wonderful bonus. She is already potty trained and leash trained.
Ongoing Health
Lessie is a healthy girl.
Training & Support
Lessie is a bit nervous at first and benefits from a patient approach. She's doing great with leash training and is potty trained.

Transporation
Lessie is located near Bucerias, Mexico. We frequently adopt dogs to the US and Canada. Approved adopters are matched with flight companions traveling from Puerto Vallarta. You will meet your new pup at the airport. During summer months, dogs may need to fly into the US and be picked up at Peace Arch Park at the border if a Canadian flight companion is unavailable. We have successfully arranged transport to the border with the help of volunteers.
