Stubbs

Stubbs is a special 11-year-old Pit Bull Terrier who weighs 50lbs. He was born with a deformed front leg that looks like a chicken wing and is not usable, but this doesn't slow him down one bit! He can still climb stairs and zoom around the yard with ease. Stubbs can be a little untrusting of new men, but he absolutely adores human affection. He has also gotten along wonderfully with all the dogs he's met. Stubbs is a goofy and loving companion who will bring so much joy to his forever home.

Ideal Home

Stubbs would do best in a home where he can continue to be his happy, active self. While he gets along well with other dogs, any potential housemates should be introduced properly.

Ongoing Health

Stubbs's unique leg condition doesn't cause him pain and his vet has determined that amputation is not necessary. However, due to bearing more weight on his other shoulder, he may be more prone to arthritis later in life. He is up-to-date on all vaccinations, is micro-chipped, and on heartworm prevention.

Training & Support

Stubbs is a resilient and adaptable dog. While he can be initially wary of new men, consistent positive reinforcement and gentle introductions will help him build trust. He has shown no other behavioral issues.
