Meet Hershey, a 3.5-year-old, 42-pound spayed female Pit Bull Terrier/Bulldog mix with a heart as sweet as her name! Found wandering the streets of Houston, Hershey was rescued and has blossomed into a loyal, affectionate, and easygoing companion. She's a low-rider cuddle bug who absolutely adores her people, happiest when curled up beside you or following you from room to room. Hershey bonds deeply and thrives in a home where she's part of the family's daily life.
Ideal Home
Hershey is looking for a stable, loving home where she can continue to thrive and feel safe. She would do best either as the only pet, or with a calm, tolerant dog who doesn't mind her enthusiastic play style. Because we have no history with cats, a cat-free home or a home with slow, supervised introductions would be best. Loud noises like fireworks and thunderstorms can spook her, so a calm, secure environment during those moments is important. She has had positive experiences with children and would make a great match for a home with respectful kids.
Ongoing Health
Hershey is a spayed female and has no known ongoing health concerns.
Training & Support
Hershey is fully housebroken and does well in her crate. She is great on a leash and walks calmly. While generally mellow indoors, she enjoys regular walks and time outside. Her playful and curious nature means she loves a good case of the zoomies, especially in a yard where she can run off some energy.
