HI, I'M GROGU!
Have you ever met a dog who looks into your eyes like he's trying to tell you something? That's me. I'm 3 years old and I came to the shelter as an owner surrender. When I first arrived, the staff discovered I had a painful ear infection that was making life pretty uncomfortable. Thankfully, I received treatment and started feeling much better, and that's when everyone got to see the real me. I'm affectionate, loyal, and incredibly people-oriented, and I am ready to find my person.
At first, I may seem a little cautious; I like to take a moment to figure things out. But once I decide you're a friend, I am all in. I love being with people and have a way of making you feel like you're the most important person in the room. I'm a German Shepherd/Great Pyrenees mix, so I'm a big, handsome boy with guardian breed traits. I would do best with someone who understands large working and guardian breeds and is looking for a true companion. I thrive on connection and want a home where I can be part of the family. I'm very well-behaved and know quite a few commands. I enjoy attention, affection, and spending time with my humans far more than chasing tennis balls. I've met other dogs in passing and have handled the busy shelter environment well. I may do well as your one-and-only dog, or potentially with another dog after slow introductions. I'm also good with kids. What I want most isn't complicated: I want a home, a soft place to land, and a family that sees the wonderful dog I am. If you're looking for a loyal companion with a gentle heart, a thoughtful nature, and lots of love to give, I might just be your guy. Come meet me! I have a feeling you'll fall in love.
