Willie

Willie is a sweet, adventurous young boy, estimated to be born in late September 2023 and rescued in December 2023. He has a charming personality and is quite affectionate in the house. While he can be a little skittish outside when approached for petting, he warms up quickly. Willie sometimes explores beyond his fence but always makes his way back home. He gets along well with his brother, Whalen, and they make a great team. Willie does chase the resident cats but is not aggressive towards them.

Ideal Home

Willie would thrive in a single-dwelling home with a securely fenced yard of at least 5 feet. Ideally, his new home would be in a rural setting, similar to his current environment. He has not been around children and would need time to adjust.

Ongoing Health

Willie is up-to-date on vaccinations and has been neutered. No specific health conditions are noted.

Training & Support

Willie is not yet leash-trained, but this is a skill that can be easily taught. He also has no formal basic training, offering a wonderful opportunity for a new person to build a strong connection with him. Recallers is a highly recommended online program for training and bonding. He is not crate-trained. Willie barks at new people but calms down quickly. The Trust Technique is suggested to help him manage his thinking levels.
