Iris

Iris is a 3-year-old Retriever mix with a soft, gentle spirit and a heart that’s slowly learning to trust. She came in very scared and unsure, but with time, patience, and kind interactions, she’s begun to open up and show her true, sweet nature. She’s a shy and timid girl who bonds deeply once she feels safe. Iris may take a little time to warm up, but when she does, her affectionate side shines through in the most rewarding way. She’s the kind of dog who will quietly become your shadow and form a strong, meaningful connection with her person.

Ideal Home

Iris would do best in a calm, patient home with someone who understands that trust takes time. With love and reassurance, she will continue to blossom into a devoted and loyal companion—the kind that makes every small step forward feel incredibly special.

Iris may take a little time to warm up and needs a patient owner to help her build trust.

• No fenced-in yard is required.
• Due to import regulations, we are not able to adopt to MA or RI residents at this time.

Transportation

Iris is located in Frederick, MD and transportation is available to CT, MD, NJ, NY, PA, VA, GA, and TN. Adopters will meet at a designated meeting spot to pick up their new companions.
