Roxy is a gorgeous 48 lb girl that is as sweet as they come. She's approximately 2 years old and was found in a cemetery with over a dozen other dogs, where she had to fend for herself. Despite her rough start, Roxy is an absolute sweetheart who loves to be by her human's side, making her a loyal shadow. She enjoys playtime with her toys and has a gentle demeanor when chasing farm pigs.
Ideal Home
Roxy would thrive in a medium-active home. She loves to play with other dogs, so a home with canine companions would be wonderful for her to burn off energy. She'll do best with someone who can provide plenty of playtime, exercise, and training.
Ongoing Health
Roxy is spayed, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccinations, flea/tick, and de-wormer. She was heartworm positive and has completed a 30-day course of antibiotics. She needs to remain on heartworm prevention for 12-16 months and will be retested afterward. She will receive a clean bill of health from a veterinarian prior to transport.
Training & Support
Roxy is crate trained but prefers not to be crated when left alone, as she is quiet and settles well. She is an "escape artist" and loves to explore, especially in wooded areas. While she returns immediately when called, secure fencing is recommended. She is great with well-behaved children.
