Teddy is what happens when a full-grown dog is 100% convinced he’s a throw pillow. At 6 years old and 60 pounds, this mixed-breed cuddle machine lives for snuggling—on the couch, on your lap, on your chest. His ears are docked, his soul is squishy, and yes, he responds to “Theodore” when he’s being extra. Teddy is the ultimate love bug and couch potato who greets everyone like an old friend. He’s got a goofy playstyle, endless affection, and absolutely zero concept of personal space. When it comes to treats, Teddy has refined taste: Whimzees, meat samples, cheese sticks, and cream cheese are all happily sampled. His absolute favorite? Ice cubes, a.k.a. “water cookies.” Teddy is friendly with other dogs in passing but truly shines as a people-dog. We think he’d do best as the one-and-only pup in your home—so he can soak up all your love, attention, and couch space—while still enjoying neighbor dog buddies for social hellos. This sweet boy also carries a piece of his past with him: Teddy has an old injury on his front leg. An X-ray revealed shrapnel—meaning at some point in his life, this poor guy was shot. The wound healed a little awkwardly, but it doesn’t slow him down. If anything, it makes his goofy zoomies and his love of life even more inspiring.
Ideal Home
Teddy would do best as the only dog in the home to receive all the love and attention. Homes with children 10 years and over are recommended.
Ongoing Health
Teddy has an old injury on his front leg from shrapnel, which healed a bit awkwardly but does not slow him down.
Training & Support
Teddy is crate trained, potty trained, and walks nicely on leash with the occasional reminder. He has a little sass when he thinks he's the boss of the room.
