Cherry

Meet Cherry! This beautiful girl is truly something special. With her rich mahogany coat and soulful eyes, Cherry turns heads everywhere she goes. We believe she may be a German Pinscher/German Shepherd, possibly with Belgian Malinois or Rhodesian Ridgeback in her background, although we are not completely sure what gives her that unique and stunning red coloring. Whatever her heritage may be, one thing is certain—she is absolutely gorgeous.

Cherry was found as a stray and brought to the Bakersfield shelter, where she quickly began winning hearts. At around 4 months old, she is still very much a puppy but is already showing the intelligence and loyalty you would expect from a shepherd-type dog. We estimate she will grow to be about 50 to 60 pounds when fully grown. She is as sweet as she is beautiful. Cherry has a gentle and affectionate nature and loves being around people. Her calm and mellow temperament makes her an easygoing companion, and she is a quick learner who is eager to please. She is also very food motivated, which makes training both fun and rewarding. Cherry is well socialized with other dogs and enjoys canine company. We believe she would likely do well in a home with dog-friendly cats and respectful children as well.
