Dagger is a 6.5-month-old spayed female Retriever/Pit Bull mix who currently weighs 40 pounds and is expected to be a large dog when fully grown. She is a fearless, playful, and affectionate puppy with a heart full of cuddles. Dagger was rescued with her mother and siblings from a wooded area and has since grown up in a loving foster home. She is potty trained, social with strangers and other dogs, and has done well around children. Dagger is an escape artist and loves to test boundaries, but her favorite place is curled up in her person's lap. She is the social butterfly of her litter, always eager for adventure.
Ideal Home
Dagger thrives in an active home that can provide plenty of enrichment, exercise, and consistent positive reinforcement. Due to her energetic and curious nature, a home with a secure yard is preferred. She would do best in a home with another friendly, well-mannered dog to help mentor her, but we will consider homes without another dog if a strong plan for continued socialization is presented. Dagger also does best in homes where someone is not routinely away for more than four to six hours at a time.
Ongoing Health
Dagger is a young, healthy puppy. As with all young dogs, she will continue to need routine veterinary care as she grows.
Training & Support
Dagger is potty trained but is still very much an adolescent and learning about the world. She benefits from continued socialization, positive reinforcement, consistency, and leash practice. Homes should be prepared to invest time and dedication in reinforcing good manners and building her confidence.
