Jafar

Jafar is a lovable, medium-energy Labrador retriever mix, estimated to be around 1 year old and weighing 36lbs. He has an incredibly soft coat and a gentle heart, making him a joy to be around. Jafar is fantastic with dogs of all sizes and has a respectful, friendly play style. While he can be a bit reserved with strangers due to early socialization challenges, he warms up quickly with patience and calm introductions, revealing his affectionate and cuddly personality. Because he can get a little mouthy when excited, he is better suited for a home with older children. He walks nicely on a leash without pulling and is already potty and crate trained. Jafar enjoys playing with toys and has learned to sit on command.

Ideal Home

Jafar would do best in a moderately active home with another friendly, confident dog to help boost his confidence. He needs a patient adopter who can provide calm introductions to new people. He is better suited to a home with older children due to his tendency to get mouthy when excited.

Ongoing Health

Jafar is neutered and up to date on all age-appropriate vaccinations.

Training & Support

Jafar is potty and crate trained and knows how to sit on command. He can be a bit mouthy when excited and may need continued guidance on this. A confident canine companion will be a great support for him in a new environment.

Transportation

Jafar is currently located in Houston, Texas. He can be transported out of state once an approved adopter is lined up. Transports run every few weeks.
