Ollie is a happy, social Black Mouth Cur mix puppy full of life and curiosity. At 5–6 months old and weighing around 18 lbs, he's expected to grow to about 40 lbs. He gets along well with dogs, cats, men, women, and even roosters, making him a very adaptable and well-rounded pup. Ollie is playful, energetic, and joyful, loving to run, chase, and be part of the pack. He's also very affectionate and seeks human connection, showering his favorite people with kisses.
Ideal Home
Ollie would thrive in an active home with a fenced backyard, where a family enjoys outdoor activities. He needs a family with a genuine intention to rescue, understanding the needs of street animals and their potential behavioral quirks. Experience with dog behavior and training is preferred, or a commitment to hiring a trainer. He requires a family with high tolerance and patience for rescued puppies and is not house-trained.
Ongoing Health
Ollie has undergone a comprehensive health protocol including a Spay/Neuter Certificate, 2 DHPPI vaccines, Rabies vaccine, Bordetella vaccine, deworming, microchipping, a 4DX test and certificate, a negative heartworm test certificate, and monthly preventive protection with Nexgard Spectra. He also has a health certificate and vaccine booklet.
Training & Support
Ollie is food-motivated and can be protective of his food, sometimes showing mild, passive defensive behavior if other dogs resist him taking their food. For this reason, it's recommended to feed him separately and continue basic training to help him learn boundaries. As he is a baby and not house-trained, consistency, structure, and proper leadership will be crucial for him to grow into a well-balanced adult dog.
