A little about them
Duke is a handsome, affectionate 5-year-old pittie mix weighing about 65 pounds. This goofy, loyal sweetheart loves people, cuddles, kisses, adventures, walks, playtime, and curling up beside his favorite person for a nap. He is full of personality and brings joy wherever he goes.
Ideal Home
Duke gets along well with other dogs, especially dogs his size. He would thrive with an active family who will continue providing regular walks, playtime, and adventures. Because he can get overly enthusiastic and forget his size, he is best suited for older, dog-savvy children (elementary age and up). Duke has some prey drive, especially toward squirrels, and would need to be cat tested. A securely fenced yard is recommended, though it is not required for the right home.
Ongoing Health
Duke has a history of a neurological condition that is currently well managed and does not require daily care. He can occasionally be a little off balance, but he has built considerable strength and remains happy and active. His adoption fee includes fecal/deworming, vaccines, and prevention up to date.
Training & Support
Duke is fully house trained, has excellent house manners, and does well in his crate, with some mild initial protest. He knows sit, stay, place, come, down, and heel, and he walks well on leash.
