Meet Misty!

Misty is a spirited almost four-year-old Rottweiler/Labrador Retriever/Catahoula Leopard Dog mix who embodies a golden burst of affection, playful energy, and heart-melting cuddles. This 90-pound sweetheart makes her presence known with her stunning golden-brown coat and white accents. She adores people, especially children, and loves to lean in for a comforting head-rest or shower you with kisses. Misty is a medium-energy girl who thrives in loving, consistent environments with room to stretch her legs. Her favorite toy is a squeaky octopus, which always brings out her goofy, playful side.

Ideal Home

Misty would thrive in a home with a spacious fenced yard and a patient, loving caregiver who understands her quirks and sees the loyal, affectionate companion beneath. She must be the only animal in her home due to severe resource guarding issues, particularly around food.

Ongoing Health

Misty is spayed, microchipped, and up-to-date on her vaccinations.

Training & Support

Misty is crate-trained, house-trained, and knows commands like "come," "sit," "lay," and "stay," though she occasionally needs reminders. She has done well with short periods alone when provided with a chew bone, but can get bored and redecorate with shredded paper. She can be a jumper when excited, and responds best to positive reinforcement, gentle, firm guidance, and a calm but confident voice.
