Meet Angus!
Angus is a big, goofy puppy who is sure to bring lots of fun and energy into your life! He was found wandering near a local creek with his sire and was brought to the shelter. Now vetted and ready for his forever home, Angus is eager to find his perfect match. He’s a neutered male Bullmastiff mix puppy, around 6 months old and already weighing over 60 lbs. He’s expected to be a very large dog when fully grown, so be prepared for a substantial companion!
Ideal Home
Angus would thrive in an active household with older children who can keep up with his playful spirit. He loves to play with other dogs but is still learning how to manage his larger size around them. He's a bit too much for cats. A well-fenced yard is a must for him to safely explore and play.
Ongoing Health
Angus is neutered, up-to-date on all his vaccinations (including rabies and bordatella), and is heartworm negative. He is microchipped and currently on preventatives for fleas, ticks, heartworms, and other parasites.
Training & Support
As a puppy, Angus is still learning the ropes! He's working on leash manners, as he can be a bit chaotic and likes to chew on the leash. He's also a chewer, so providing him with appropriate chew toys will be important. While he is doggie door trained, his housebreaking status is still being confirmed. He enjoys car rides but needs to be properly restrained due to his enthusiastic nature. Consistency and positive reinforcement will be key to his continued success.
