Meet Mac! This 5-year-old Papillon/Chihuahua mix is a small dog with a huge personality! Mac is a loyal companion who loves to be by his person's side, whether you're relaxing at home or out exploring. He especially enjoys walks and will happily bounce on his back feet when he's excited about a potential outing or a tasty snack! Mac can be timid when meeting new people, and he prefers slow, patient introductions. Once he trusts you, he's a devoted little sidekick ready for all of life's adventures.

Ideal Home

Mac is looking for a patient and understanding home without small children. He would do best with an experienced dog owner who is willing to let him set the pace when meeting new people. Mac also prefers to be the only pet in the home. He does not enjoy being crated.

Ongoing Health

Mac has received a veterinary exam, is neutered, tested for heartworms and Lyme disease, and is up-to-date on vaccinations and flea/tick/parasite preventatives.

Training & Support

Mac can be timid and may react defensively if approached too quickly. He needs time to build trust at his own pace. He has "big dog syndrome" and likes to think he's the toughest dog around. He may bark if he knows you're nearby when crated, but usually settles down with time.
