Gabby is a confident and headstrong girl who needs a confident handler/adopter. She is a lovable tripod, but she doesn't need any sympathy! Gabby has been trained with rules and boundaries and thrives to her best potential in that environment. It helps keep her prey drive down when she sees cats or squirrels, and interestingly enough, she doesn't bark at them. She has been staying with her trainer, who has taught her to group walk with other dogs of different sizes, though small dogs are still best kept separated from Gabby. One of her favorite things to do is play tug of war. During this exercise, commands are used such as "heel," "side," "middle," and "front." She will fetch a ball. A large 10" or larger Jolly or Giggle ball is used, so she doesn't have to bend too far to pick it up. She has also learned "place," which comes in handy for many situations, such as when a visitor comes over. Gabby is not allowed on the furniture, but if it's something you condone, we recommend only allowing it on cue (with permission). Gabby has acquired the ideal indoor etiquette – chilling out. She likes to chew on hard, safe toys. Even though she has some male doggy friends at the trainer's home she likes to rough house with, we want to set Gabby up for complete success and recommend she be adopted into a home where she is the queen bee – the only pet. Set your rules and stick to them, and Gabby will be a joy to have, providing loyal, affectionate companionship the rest of her days.
Ideal Home
Gabby would thrive in a home where clear rules and boundaries are set and consistently followed. We recommend she be adopted into a home where she is the only pet, to ensure her complete success.
