Meet Kay Kay — short for Kangaroo Kevin! 🦘💛 And trust us… the name fits perfectly. Kay Kay is a young female Kelpie mix weighing in around 25–30 pounds of pure bounce, energy, and love. She earned her nickname because she literally jumps and bounces off her foster mom’s back like a little kangaroo. She’d be perfect for agility training! This sweet girl LOVES playing with her dog friends, zooming around the backyard, chewing on her Benebone, and being wherever the fun is. Kay Kay is house-trained, kennel-trained, good with big and small dogs, good with cats, and is sweet, playful, and affectionate. Because she is a herding breed and still learning boundaries, she is not recommended for homes with young children. Kay Kay is happiest and most confident at home — especially when she has a backyard to run in and another dog buddy to wrestle and play with. While she’s completely comfortable in the house and yard, she can still be a little nervous walking on a leash in busy public places. She’ll need a patient adopter who understands she’s still building confidence with the outside world. She recently completed her heartworm injections and is ready to start the next chapter of her life with a forever family. If you’re looking for a hilarious, affectionate little athlete who will keep you laughing every single day, Kay Kay might just be your perfect match.
