Meet Abbey - your future tiny shadow, professional snuggler, and full-time EXTRA alert entertainer. Abbey is three years old, weighs 10 lbs, and is equal parts sweet, spunky, and hilarious. Abbey's favorite place in the world is tucked under her human, especially under the covers at bedtime, but during the day you'll usually find her proudly carrying one of her stuffed animals around the house (and yes... outside too). Stuffed toys beware - Abbey considers "finding the squeaker" and de-stuffing a personal mission - she is well equipped to handle. Abbey is incredibly friendly and happy-go-lucky. She loves other dogs, is wonderful with strangers, and has a fun, playful personality that shines brightest during her zoomie sessions - top speed doing her backyard laps is truly a sight to behold. She's smart, obedient, and doing fantastic with potty training, with few accidents now. When foster mom is away, Abbey does great in her crate. But when people are home? She'd much rather be in your lap or directly involved in whatever is happening - and in true Dachshund form, preferably supervising from the center of the action. Abbey would thrive in a loving active home, especially one with another small playful pup and kids to romp and play with. She's the kind of dog that instantly makes a house feel happier, cozier, and way more entertaining.
