Meet Merlot!

Merlot is a gentle, affectionate hound mix with a love language of cuddles and sniffing adventures. He's a fantastic snuggle buddy, happy to spend an evening curled up by your side. When it's time for a walk, his hound instincts kick in, and he loves exploring the world through his nose, walking nicely on a leash with only occasional pulling as he investigates exciting scents. Merlot is very food motivated and enjoys treats, though he can sometimes be distracted by interesting smells. He's described as non-reactive when passing other dogs on walks.

Ideal Home

Merlot would love a home where he can have plenty of opportunities to explore and use his nose.

Ongoing Health

Merlot's adoption fee includes his spay/neuter, vaccines (rabies, distemper & Bordetella), diagnostic testing, and any additional medical procedures recommended by the vet.

Training & Support

Merlot is still learning his routine for housebreaking and crating. He enjoys treats and would likely benefit from continued positive reinforcement training.
