Meet Lola! This sweet and spunky girl is a beautiful Chihuahua/Dachshund mix, about 2 years and 10 months old. She was very skittish and distrustful when she first arrived, but has truly blossomed in her foster home. Lola is housebroken, crate trained, and knows several commands. Once she chooses you as her person and bonds, she is silly, playful, cuddly, and incredibly loyal. She makes a perfect work-from-home companion, loving to sit on your lap and "help" with whatever you're doing. Lola is not a fan of other animals or children, and can be a bit wary of strangers, especially men. However, with slow intros, ignoring her at first, and plenty of yummy treats, she can warm up to them. She enjoys being outside but isn't a fan of lengthy walks, making her ideal for those who prefer shorter excursions, especially during hot or cold weather. If you're looking for a quirky but lovable little dog, Lola might be your perfect match!

Lola would thrive in a home without other animals or children. She needs a patient person or people who understand her need for slow introductions and will let her warm up on her own terms.
