MacKenzie, a sweet female puppy, is a true testament to resilience and the power of love. Born the runt of her litter with severe limb deformities, she initially faced a grim prognosis and was unable to walk. However, thanks to the dedication of Scout's Honor Rescue and the expertise of Houston Veterinary Specialists, MacKenzie underwent corrective surgery on her back legs. Her recovery was nothing short of remarkable, showcasing her innate spunk and determination. Now, she delights in chasing lizards in her foster home's backyard and enjoying peaceful naps in sunny spots.

Ideal Home

MacKenzie would thrive in a loving home that can provide her with the consistent care and medical attention she needs. She gets along wonderfully with cats, dogs, and children, making her a versatile companion.

Ongoing Health

While MacKenzie's surgery was a great success, her past deformities mean she is more susceptible to injury and already has some arthritis. She will require ongoing veterinary care as she ages, and may eventually need corrective surgery on her front left leg.

Training & Support

MacKenzie is house-trained. Her journey has been one of overcoming challenges, and she is ready for a family that will continue to support her active and joyful spirit.
